Welcome to Endless Healing Therapy
Background
Welcome! My name is Maya Jackson and I am the proud owner of this practice. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with nearly a decade of experience working with individuals and families. I received my Master of Social Work degree from University of Southern California. I have a variety of clinical experience ranging from individual and group psychotherapy services within a residential substance abuse center, to individual psychotherapy services provided within a Psychiatric department, to crisis intervention services.
I am also trained in evidence-based practices including problem solving therapy, solution-focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as trauma-informed practices. My training is rooted in trauma-informed practice, solution-focused approach, cultural sensitivity, and anti-racism.
My Therapy Experience
My personal journey with therapy began as grief counseling following the sudden, heartbreaking loss of my father. But as I regularly advise my clients, therapy often evolves into processing additional aspects of one’s life in addition to what initially brought them to my practice. My road to healing grew from working through grief and childhood to eventually feeling safe to process various aspects of young adulthood including dating, identity, career direction, self-esteem and many other topics. I’m grateful that my approach to supporting my clients is not only rooted in my education and training, but also through my own experience in working with an awesome clinician at a very challenging time in my life.
My Therapy Style
I support my clients in working towards “living their best life” while building skills, increasing self-confidence and self-respect, as well as helping them to be mindful and accountable for their healing. I believe that though I am the coach that helps to guide my clients towards overall wellness, they are the experts on their life and must be committed and intentional about their healing journey.
As a therapist, I strive to ensure that my clients feel heard, understood, respected, and safe while in session with me. We will definitely have a good time and do a ton of laughing, as humor is a key component of my character. But I will also gently guide you through discussing “the hard stuff” and getting past the uglier parts of the therapeutic process. My rule of thumb is, if you approach therapy with an open mind, open ears, and an open heart, we WILL get you to the light at the end of the tunnel.
